Terms of sale and use
Last updated August 12, 2026
These terms cover browsing index9.dev and buying a one-time Pro unlock for Windrose or Whetstone. Read them together with the Refund Policy and Privacy Policy.
Who is selling
Index9 is a small Mac software studio operating index9.dev. Windrose and Whetstone are Index9's products. Each is free to download, with an optional one-time Pro unlock.
What you're buying
Each product page states what Pro adds and its current price. Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. There is no activation limit: a Pro key works on every Mac you use it on.
Paddle is the seller of record
Checkout is run by Paddle.com, Index9's authorized reseller and the Merchant of Record for every purchase. Paddle charges the card, issues the receipt, remits applicable tax, and handles payment disputes. Completing checkout also means accepting Paddle's Buyer Terms, shown again at the point of payment.
Trials
Each app includes a full-Pro trial described on its product page, starting the first time the app is opened on a Mac. The trial requires no purchase and no account.
Availability
A product page always shows current status. The checkout link appears only when a purchase can be completed; pausing a sale is a site change, not an app update.
Using the site
index9.dev is provided as-is, for reading product information and completing a purchase. Visiting the site creates no account. Do not attempt to disrupt the site, its checkout, or its license service.
Ownership
Index9 owns index9.dev's content and each app's software, design, and copy, except where an app's own materials note a separate license.
Refunds
See the Refund Policy.
Changes
These terms can change. The date above marks the latest revision. Continuing to use the site after a change means accepting it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada. Purchases through Paddle are additionally subject to Paddle's buyer terms.
